Bayern Munich winger Leroy Sane has sparked controversy in Germany after an allegedly "disrespectful" gesture towards a fourth official.

During Bayern's defeat to Bochum at the weekend, Vincent Kompany shuffled his pack and substituted Sane just after the hour mark, introducing Michael Olise as his replacement. As the substitution was taking place, fourth official Tom Bauer raised his arm while standing in Sane's way, and the former Manchester City winger dismissively pushed it away, to Bauer's shock.

Now, Sane has been criticised for his behaviour, with former Germany international Stefan Effenberg claiming he was "very disrespectful". It is unclear if there will be any further sanctions against the winger, but he was not punished by the referee.
WHAT EFFENBERG SAID
Effenberg called Sane "very disrespectful" and told : "You can often tell from a player's body language whether they feel comfortable. And you can see that with Sane. This is not about the match itself but about his overall situation."
